so far looks like Silence Lotto will be the team.
I'm open to some smaller European teams, I just don't know much about them. It'd be fun to research. So if someone suggests a team that is Dankan's DB, and others agree, I'm open to that direction as well.
Thanks for your input so far. I want this to be interesting for more than just me. |

So I began a story with Rabobank. And, it didn't seem to be of much interest to anyone.
So I want to get some direction on a team to pick. I play on Hard and am able to win some pretty good sprints and am patient enough on hills and mountains to place well in stage races.
If you think of a different team -- reply to this thread with the team in the reply.
I'd really like some direction on this, I like writing the story and having something to do with the racing, but I don't want it to be a waste or uninteresting.
Thanks
You did 7 post or something in your Rabobank story. How did you come up with the no interest part?? Interest comes as the story develops. I started reading Mads story when there were already 4 or 5 pages.
But since there is already a Rabobank story and I like reading stories about a smaller team, I don't mind you picking an other team. Although if you like playing with Rabobank I recommend sticking with that story.
About a new team.
I voted for Garmin (smallest team of the five options you gave).
For other options I don't know which continental teams are in the database your are playing with, but I'm sure CFS, LPR or Acqua & Sapone are in your database. They could be interesting options. I'm guessing all three will ask you to perform well in the Giro and that will give you a goal that doesn't take to much time before the story gets there.
But you can choose a continental team yourself. I suggest looking for a team with two or three riders that can win a race for you, has some promising young riders and that isn't to old (If more then half of the team is above 25 it's to old in my opinion).
And I wouldn't worry about the interest part to much if you keep updating it more and more people will start to read it.
So most of all pick a team that you find fun to play with and that can motivate you to keep going. |

I voted for Silence lotto just because they are one of the funnest teams. Also it has been a while since I have seen a Silence Lotto story.

That's good to know. I didn't realize how soon into a story I should look for any signs of interest. I'll still probably start a new one, seeing as there is already a Rabobank story. I'm going to look at the goals for Silence Lotto, Garmin-Chipotle, High Road, and maybe LPR and see what sounds like fun to me. Thanks for all the input. |

There are many stories about CSC. And only 1 or 2 silence stories.

Team Columbia it is. I found a graphics pack that has the new kits, I think I'll be happy with the squad. It is balanced and gives me plenty of different ways to make an impact.
more to come soon... |

I wouldn't mind doing that. I will mess around with it a bit. My primary focus will be on the road squad, but I am willing to give the track career a shot. |
