This will be my first story on PCM Daily, and I'm excited to test out my writing ability. I'm mostly doing this because I like the storylines you can make with PCM, both in Career mode and Be a Pro mode. I'm going to start with this one fairly simply, doing a career as a custom World Tour team. It will be played in PCM16, using the PCM Daily 2017 Light DB (There is a team (I believe it's a Polish CT team, I don't quite remember) which crashes my game if I try to do a 3D race, as well as a few races which do the same, and my computer rather sucks, so I figured I may as well just streamline it). The game will be played on Hard difficulty, which will be interesting, because noob confession, I've only played on Hard 3 times, so we'll have to hope for the best. I hope you all enjoy!

Wow, that's a strong team! But the absence of major stars could keep it interesting, and I do like the rider types in there!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the presentation of Swallowtail Cycling Team. The team will be entering into the World Tour for its first season in 2017, and we intend not just to fill numbers, with a number of significant goals on our agenda. In order to meet these goals, we have a roster of experienced and talented riders, who are ready and motivated to put Swallowtail Cycling Team on the map in our first season.
Michael Albasini is our next captain, and he will be flying the Swiss flag high at the Ardennes classics. He is also slated to compete at the Giro d’Italia, but will likely pass on the Tour and the Vuelta in order to prepare for the World Championships in Bergen, Norway. Albasini will be complemented by Pinot in some of the harder hilly races, along with Simon Geschke. We will also see a lot of the young Italian Giulio Ciccone in the hilly one-day races, and he will have a free role at the Giro.
Rohan Dennis is our top time trial rider, and represents the team’s best shot at a World Championship title come September. Secondarily to his focus on the time trials, he will have a very varied calendar on account of his serviceable skills on most terrains. Maciej Bodnar will also be seen quite often on the Time Trial bike, and will play a minor supporting role at the cobbled classics. Stefan Küng and Tom Bohli are our young, local talents in the time trial, and we expect great results from them across the next few years, the former being anticipated as a valuable asset in the hills and on the cobbles as well.
We finally come to all things flat, and three names come to the fore here. Dylan Groenewegen, Jasper Stuyven, and Jens Debusschere. Groenewegen will be our main sprint leader, supported by the Belgian duo, who will more often take up joint leadership in the cobbled classics, but will also get some sprint opportunities of their own. All three riders will regularly enlist the support of Adrien Petit, Nikias Arndt and Magnus Cort Nielsen, while a slew of young sprinting talents are preparing to come to the fore, by the names of Erik Baska, Pascal Ackermann and Thomas Boudat.
The team will be rounded out by a number of other key support riders, who will occasionally get their chances in the limelight as well. They are: Martin Elmiger, Mathias Frank, Emanuel Buchmann, Patrick Konrad, Silvan Dillier, Marco Haller and Steve Morabito.
Ambitions for 2017 and Beyond
Our hope is to be competitive throughout the 2017 season, and to finish at least at an average position in the World Tour rankings. We are aware that we do not have any of the Froome’s or Sagan’s of the pro peloton, but we believe that our strength in depth will help us to achieve some good results, and to demonstrate that we can hang with the best. We aim to hit 20 wins before the end of the season, and our real dream results would be to win a Monument, and to finish on the podium of a Grand Tour.
Our title sponsor, Swallowtail Investments, has Caribbean ties, which they would like to see present in our 2018 squad. We will be looking to develop riders from both Switzerland and various parts of the Caribbean, and we would like to be responsible for the first Caribbean rider to complete a Grand Tour by 2020.
Well, I'm sorry for making what must be the quickest canceled story on daily but that might be what this is. My computer is capitulating and is now functionally incapable of running games such as PCM. I don't really have any way to solve this problem, my computer is just old and tired, and I don't have it in the cards to get a new one any time soon. Sorry to everyone who was excited for this, I was too, but I guess that's how it is sometimes.
