I think the favorite race "stat" should be reconsidered. Right now it seems to me that pretty much every rider has some favorite races and thus gets a bonus in those races. This seems rather random to me and I think there's a better way to use the favorite race feature.

How about giving riders fav. races more scarcely, only to those who really have been racing significantly better in some races. For example Valverde in the Vuelta or Andy Schleck in the Tour back in the days.

Favorite races shouldn't be given to riders who just stated that race X is their favorite but only to those who consistently ride better in a certain race.
I think this would add realism to the game.

At that point one might even think about increasing the bonus those specific riders get through their favorite race.

To clarify with another example, I don't think Froome should have the Tour as favorite race, since he pretty much rides consistently at that level unless he's out of or getting into form and the game already takes care of the form factor.

What do you guys think?
"He made a bigger comeback than Easter Sunday."

Given the fact that a number of stats were unfortunately lost recently but have now been replaced. There is still no fav races and weather/climate bonus with the last stat upload as these were lost too but I think have been recuperated.

As they need to be implemented again for the next EP release it has led me to think that they need to be more evaluated and have actually reached a similar opinion as you.

I think less riders should have that bonus "scarce" as you say as it is indeed something that should actually be a bonus and there are a number of different ways to approach this and am thinking more on this, something like 40 or 50 riders could have this across WT, PCT and CT.
