ok heres my story..
I got the game today and my first priority was to instal a database. So i download the realname db by dankan and when its finished it cannot be found :x
So i download the scandanavian db and when its finish downloading i go to extract files to the folder C/Program files/cyanide/procyclingmanager2008 but vista being its shitty self it gets blocked and keeps telling me that i dont have enough authority (although i am an administrator) so i cant do that
So i try to extract in my documents and it works, then i drag everything into the crooct folder C/Program files/cyanide/procyclingmanager2008 but rather than replace the files it puts them into whatever box i dropped them into when i wanted to just drop them into the folder itself, so i thought well it asked me whether i wanted to replace the "RIGHT" files so i thought it might have worked, but no on the game the only database available is the crappy cyanide one
Ive tried at least 3 more times with no avail. Can someone please help me before i throw this game out the window

Did you delete the cache folder when you installed the Scandinavian database? |

type %appdata% into "run..." (in vista you have to go Start->Accessories)
Then go into the PCM08 folder and delete everything inside the Cache folder. It's back to what it was like in PCM06, anything you download it's best to delete the cache

you could have done t way easier. instead of installing on your C:/ drive, install on your D:/ drive
then you can replace those files with ease
and then there is no need to empty your cache and all

If you've changed the name of the database you need to put it into My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2008/Database

And if that does not work, you can always rename the db to OfficialRelease (don't forget to backup the original one). The program will then recognise the db and you can play it... |
