Could people please post what you think the stats for the 16 original track riders should be.
I want to edit them but all i know about track cyclists is that Bos has awsome Acceleration. |

This is the track riders, it's between 1 and 8
and I must remind you that Bos isn't world champion anymore, he was beaten, technically that makes Hoy faster than him

What else did Bos have to peak for?
and anyway the stats don't lie, the Brits performed the best. It's the other peoples fault for not taking the World Championships seriously if they didn't peak for it

You argue with me about track cycling when in your first post you say that all you know about track cycling is that Bos has good acceleration

is track cycling like a big thing? like road cycling. do they have big tournaments beside olympics and WC? or is it just some alternative cycling brits found out they rule in? and (sorry ) doing that instead. |

They have different races yes, like the Ghent 6-day is a highly prestigious event. There are more than just the Olympics and WC, but those 2 are the most important
The Brits don't rule at it though, the Dutch have a great team and the Aussies are also very good. The Brits just had a great WC, although we do hae a lot of talents coming through

editing the stats unbalences the online alot, i got into one and basically i ran out of energy, no fault of mine i wasn't putting on excess people were falling back every few laps. It really wasn't any fun becuase you knew you'd be going out.

yeah, it's irrelevant in some countries and completely unknown in the vast majority.
But it's still pretty fun seeing a keirin or a madison
but overall, it's something only 3 or 4 countries take seriously.

Hoy faster than Bos as if Hoy could ever beat the record Bos set at 200m flying start. You chauvi. Or make that chauvis, I see another brit who thought Bos peaked at the worlds. No!

We'll see. Bos worked hard on his stamina on the road. that's got to have an effect on his speed on the track. I guess we'll know in August.

I'm sure Bos know's what he's doing. The last 4 years, the Olympic sprint was his only main goal. Only winning that race counts for him. Don't doubt he'll be in great form there. |

Okay so Bos didnt peak at the Worlds? Why? Because it would have an affect on his Beijing preperation? That would suggest that he does not think himself capable to peak in March and also August, despite them being 5 months apart.
Peaking for the worlds or not and whether youre Dutch or not, you cant deny that Chris Hoy is the best Keirin rider in the world - he is very rarely beaten in it. His run of around 23 unbeaten races only ended in the Copenhagen world cup in the Invitational Keirin on a day which he rode in 15 other races.
Bos does have a better acceleration but that is not the only factor in being faster - only the qualifying round for the Sprint is 200m long and I would say that Hoy has more power and stamina.
But like isso said, we'll have to wait til August to see.

Bos will win in Beijing;
but that isn't what this tread is about!
Can someone actually answer the original request?
Thanks. |
