I'm not good with the technicalities of computer so you'll have to forgive me if the answer to this is simple.
I've loaded the game onto my mates laptop after it didn't work on mine (due to my laptop being, well, a bit crap). All the game loaded up well and as a stage was loading it looked hopeful but when it got to the race it appeared as though the screen was just blue with all the right controls round the side. I could still control all my cyclists but i couldn't see them which, obvisously, made the game unplayable.
I tried track cycling which threw up didfferent problems. The game loaded up almost perfectly with one flaw- the riders were invisible. This is different to the race as the graphics loaded up almost perfectly except the fact the riders were absent. the only way i knew where the riders were were small balck spots (maybe the shadow of the font wheel) on the track.
Anyone know if there is a simple way to solves this? As it's not my computer I'm not sure about graphics cards etc but would the race screen load without the appropriate graphics card?
Thank you for your time |

It's because of your graphics card. What is it?

I've followed instructions from elsewhere using the control panel to check which graphics card the laptop has and apparently it's a SiS mirage graphics card. Is this not good enough? |

I responded to your question in the other thread, but incase you don't see it, here is my answer:
No. Sorry to be blunt but the SiS Mirage cards are just not cut out for modern 3D games. There is a big difference between the different versions of Mirage cards though (1, 2 and 3, with 3 being the latest released), although even 3rd version will struggle to run games just a few years old. Sorry, but it ain't a gaming card
Looks like you'll have to find another rig to play it on. |

Okay, cheers for your reply (on both threads).
Does anyone know the cheapest graphics cards I could buy which would allow me to play the game?
Thanks for your time |

Although if your planning to play it on your laptop then you won't be able to just go out and buy a graphics card because it wont fit. |

Yes, that's a good point
My 7600GT was for my desktop, which I don't play PCM on for some reason.

I did think it was a bit odd, you having that card and yet still playing the game on your laptop! You prefer to let the intel card take the strain, eh? Poor thing, its overworked while the 7600 GT sits idle! Heartless, Addy, heartless! |
