So I returned to the game from last playing PCM 2011 and from what I recall, the prize money in the game was significantly higher back then.
My strategy would allways involve trying to get beyond my sponsor budget to get results; like a smaller team picking up a 77 sprinter, 77 mountain/hill guy at 15-20k pr month and then netting a huge profit of prize money.
However having now run 2 races as Axe pro cyckling I got the following results:
5 day stage race:
won green jersey
won youth jersyr
3rd youth jersey
won 1 stage and got placements on 2 (2nd-3rd)
2nd in GC
8th in GC
that whole lot netted me 10K
second race was a 1 day:
won race
2nd place
8th place
2k in prize money
I'm winning my races, have made no additions (since I can't), so basicly starting expenses and yet I'm bleeding money atm.
obviously if I keep winning, I can keep aflode with those prize money levels; but do I misremember or was prize money like dobble as high or more even for small races in PCM 2011?
Does econ tend to pan out ok in PCM 2017 or should I not consider going for a few experienced riders at 20k+ for 2nd season?
Seems a bit silly if I have to win most races I enter with 71 main skill guys just to keep aflode.
I doubt anything or much changed with the prize money over time. I make aggressive use of my budget, too, but never rely on prize money until I make the WT.
If you want to increase the prize money, you can do it with Lachi's Editor (check the PCM 17 download section). Open your save game in the editor, select the table STA_bonus_superprestige and edit the column gene_ilist_primes.
Otherwise I would refrain from hiring riders with such wages until you make the WT, you can do very well with riders at or near the minimum wage.
I'm a high school student and I am not old enough yet to get a job. However, I want to make money and not ask my parents for money every time I want to go out with my friends or buy something for myself. I found out that I could make money by using apps and playing online games for a small income. I have been doing this for a few weeks now and so far I have made around twenty-five dollars. It is not much but it is enough for me to buy what I want.
