On a cobbled course, Flaksis is the huge favourite for the Latvian National RR.

Flaksis waits until the final cobbled section to make his move, but his supremacy shows as he distances the peloton simply by riding them off his wheel.

And he goes on to win in supreme style, over 4 minutes ahead of Bogdanovics and Smukulis.

Smukulis is favourite for the TT, but Kanepejs cannot be discounted.

Kanepejs finishes first in a time of 1h11’24”.

But Smukulis beats him by 22 seconds to take home the Latvian National TT title.
