The MGUCI has introduced a new rule wherein local amateurs are invited to participate in the National Championships of all countries along with the Professional riders. I will follow the exploits of the professionals as they attempt to win their country's National Championships.

Four amateur riders form the break of the day.

17 riders get away from the peloton with 25 km to go. Haidar Anuawar is the only professional rider to miss this move. They trail the break by 1'25".

They are caught by the pack with 20 km to go.

Six riders - Ahmad Zamri, Mat Senan, Marzuki, Othman, Awang and Ghani, get away 2 km later.

The break is caught soon after.

Mat Senan attacks with 15 km to go.

And there is no rsponse. Mat Senan rides away to take the win.
