Polanc was best of the rest from later moves and takes 5th. But other Isostar contenders Kump and Brajkovic evidently treated the race as little more than a training ride.

In the absence of three times defending champion Kristjan Koren, an opportunity arises for two former winners.

We have a head to head between 77 TT Simon Spilak and 76 TT Janez Brajkovic. They finished on exactly the same time last season, although age has been catching up with Brajkovic.

Spilak started strongest, an 8 second lead which became 13 at the halfway point.

Best of the rest would be David Per, a comfortable 3rd place in his debut championships.

And the tide did not turn. Simon Spilak takes the title by 22 seconds, he has completed the double.
