Preview:
We got quite a long list of top sprinter, all favorites to win this race. At least four of those I would consider equally strong. In alphabetic ordre, Coquard, Demare, Petit and Vanderbiest
But would not dare to rule out neither Bouhanni nor Lavoine
And also Feillu, Fonseca and Soupe could win this on the right day.
Notable all bookmaker favorites are from different teams, something that we don’t see that often in National Championship with many MGUCI professionals.
The Race:
The weather is fine and sunny with just a light breeze.
The early breakaway is composed of 4 amateur, getting away with about 55 km to the line, after that not much happen until Viennet punctures with 31 km left.
Almost at the same time a nasty crash, about 10 riders down and some important MG pros, we can spot Lavoine, Vanderbiest Feillu, Paillot, Bonnin.
Normally a breakaway with only amateurs hardly hold, but will this make a difference ?
As you might expect some teams have to send riders back to help. We also gets another crash soon including MG pros Turgis and Lebas.
All in all 30 riders will never get back.
The breakaway is over with 11 km left, just after that happens Hivert attack.
6 km to go, Hivert now has 23” on the peloton, led by Ayubowan! at this moment.
With Orange obviously not working, and others hurt by the crash, seems to be some panic in the peloton. Nobody want to use their strongest riders in the pursuit.
3 km to go and the sprint trains slowly forming, but Hivert got 41”, if he do not explode he looks good to take this win.
Hivert first under the red kit with 45” to the peloton. He won’t miss this opportunity.
The top sprinters under the red kite, Bouhanni and Coquard side by side, then Thire, Petit, Soupe.
The puma rider is not Demare, it is Chevrier, Demare a little further back.
Hivert win the French National Road Race Championship with no other riders in sight.
Welcome back to the French National Championship, now with the ITT. 60 riders are ready to compete.

Preview:
As oppose to the road race we got a clear favorite this time in Jerome Coppel.
Beneath him we got not as likely but possible winner in Viennet and Paillot
Riders like Lecuisinier, Mottin and Robert should also have a slim chance.
The Race:
Tronet is the first rider on the course, but he does not make it to the finish first, overtaken by the Sicard not even past the 2nd time check.
Sicard first rider in the hot-seat with 1h09’16”
Only a total of 5 riders have passed the line, but we already get a new best and what a time, Lecuisinier with 1h07’35”, 1’40” faster than Sicard
Geniez 3nd
Morizot 2nd just 8”
Gallopin 3rd
Kneisky 3rd
Robert 3nd at 56”, a bit disappointing I guess.
Then new best Mottin 1h07’30” 5” faster than Lecuisinier
Paillot 3rd, but only 2” behind Lecuisinier, 7” behind Mottin, couldn't have been closer at the top right now.
Viennet setting best time at 1st, 2nd and 3rd sector
New best 1h07’09”, 20” faster than Mottin
Just Coppel left now and he do not disappoint his huge French fanbase gathered along the route, best in all sectors to make a supreme winning 1h05’33” time, 1’35 faster than Viennet
