Week 2 starts with a flat sprinter stage.
The favourite list though suggests, there is some kind of ramp in the end but in reality this is not very hard.

6 riders in the breakaway surely hope to beat the sprinter teams today.

Last clearly being one of the riders of week 1. Today his task might be to let his team mates relax a bit until the end. Hard stages ahead and the team worked hard so far and surely needs a day off today.

Instead Team UBS working the most but also Reddit today. Surprisingly with their "sprinter" on paper pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/red.png Meyer. So far he hasn`t shown a lot of his sprint skills in this event and hence the team obviously punishing him a bit.
Croket/Canelon surely no better sprinters and hence they might actually go for the hilly sprinter tactic today with Julien Simon.

Later on Aeropostal, MOL support those two teams.

KoM and Daspuntsag was looking for those the most. But it`s Krigbaum taking the most with Santambrogio also ending ahead of the Garmin rider.

With 40km the gap was down to 2'20.
30km and 1'45.
20km and now it`s 1'15.

MOL, Aeropostal and Reddit are working behind.

10km and still 1'15.
5km and it`s only 20s less. The pace is fast with 60 km/h but for the moment the break still giving them a big fight.

But now their cooperation ends.

3km and basically still 40-50s. The sprinter teams going 63 km/h now. Not helping as the break is still going strong as well.
Reddit with some weird sprint train. Still not sure who is leading them today.

2,3km and Santambrogio is now joined by Krigbaum and Daspuntsag. They have a 30s gap to the other three and another 20s to teh peloton led by Ratiy.

Flamme Rouge and Krigbaum takes the lead. The other two right behind him.

The peloton is 34s behind now catching the other trio.

The sprinters still not having opened the real sprint. On the left Vanoverschelde still having one support rider. Then Von Hoff, Nizzolo, Haddi and Bertilsson behind.

Behind Reddit Opie, Granjel Cabrera, Afewerki, Geschke.

Also Park, Aregger, Richeze, Maikin in the mix.

Daspuntsag can`t follow. It will be Krigbaum or Santambrogio if the peloton won`t fly.

The roads have a 3% uphill section right now and hence apparently the favourite list. But it`s also a sprint for the big sprinters as well.

The sprinters line up next to each other. Though Granjel Cabrera blocked a bit behind Opie and the Sancor riders.

That said, it will be for 3rd or 4th only. The riders in front have almost reached the finish.

One of these days the break just can`t be caught.
And hence a good day for Carlsberg as Krigbaum was the strongest. He did not allow Santambrogio to pass him and takes a big win.

The sprinters indeed caught the totally exhausted Daspuntsag in the end and it`s Von Hoff taking 3rd. Yet another good sprint by him but not enough for the win.

Aregger as hilly sprinter as 4th while Meyer actually made it to 5th. His best performance so far and actually rather incredible after all his chasing work today. Maybe he should be used as kind of leadout on every stage.

8th for Daspuntsag in the end and still a top10, while Granjel Cabrera as 17th is missing out on many points today.
