Could anyone point me in the right direction for a season planning / fitness tutorial please? I've used many versions of PCM previously and got my head round getting the riders to the right fitness level at the right time, however in PCM 17 it doesn't seem to make sense and i'm defiantly doing something wrong.
I feel like i've tried lots of different things but tiredness seems to get so high so quickly. I've attached a screenshot of a new save ive just started. Barely a month as passed in game, Landa is yet to participate in a race, has been on 'easy' preparation every month and as you can see fitness is going to hit 75% in a couple of weeks. The graph below on the image also shows it think it will hit 100% for most of the season.
Any tips or links to guides would be much appreciated.
That's not how it's supposed to look. Must be a bug.
For some tips in general:
- Rest weeks only reduce fatigue if there are no races in them.
- Unless you add a race to a rider's schedule (drag&drop), the calculated fitness and fatigue will be off for any weeks that are not hard training.
- The simplest way to plan a season is just using hard training and rest weeks, fiddle around with the race planning to fit in enough free weeks throughout the season. It's absolutely possible to stay above 90% fitness the entire way from March to October if done right.
This for example was an entirely legit season with ~80 race days. Obviously you have to be lucky sometimes to not have the first or last stage of some races overlap with a new week.

That's great, thanks for the tips that's great to know.
Any ideas on what to do about the bug? I'm using the pcm expansion pack. I don't think judt starting a new save would help as I've had this same problem on every save in pcm 17.
I'm sadly not a bug expert.
It looks like the first week of January was still fine, and then it literally went downhill. Maybe you always edit the save game at the start of the season and mess something up? Otherwise I can only suggest a clean install, or you try to find a more knowledgeable guy around here.

Late reply, but just wanted to say thanks for your help. I did a complete reinstall and followed the tips you mentioned in an earlier post to plan out a season successfully. Much appreciated, thanks again.
