The ITT on the previous stage shook up the GC,as was expected. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Festina were the big winners with a 1-2 finish and they also lead the team standings now as a result. Today's stage will decide if there are further changes in the GC. The punchers are favoured for the win today, but most of them have a lot of ground to make up. If they do end up turning the GC around once again, we're in for a cracking stage!

The early break sees four riders. They are:
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Hamilton
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mol.png Van Winden
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ludviggson

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%202.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selander joins them soon after. He is currently second in the KOM standings, 5 points behind leader pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Brandao. Hamilton is a point behind him, 3rd in the KOM.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%203.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Hamilton leads them over the first intermediate sprints, with no one contesting it. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ludviggson and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selander take the other bonuses.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%204.jpg

The approach to the first KOM sprint has seen a lot of action. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mol.png Van Winden has sat up and gone back to the pack. All the riders in the break are riding solo after pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selander's pace dropped them one by one. The pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Minions rider takes the KOM sprint win and moves to joint top spot in the KOM standings. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki is 2nd, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Hamilton is 3rd over the climb.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%205.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ludviggson is also eventually caught on the climb. The break's lead is 2'4".

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%206.jpg

There is a big name missing from the pack as the peloton. It's pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Vlatos! He's lost 4' on the climb and sits in the group of the sprinters. His GC hopes are dashed!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%207.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mol.png Vanoverschelde and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ebd.png Calmejane have tangled and gone down. The latter has to retire because of his injuries!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%208.jpg

Away from our cameras, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ubs.png Dilier had also taken a tumble. He was already dropped by the peloton and now his chances of making it back have vanished.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%209.jpg

70 km to go. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selandar lead the race, 1'1" ahead of Hamilton. The peloton is a further minute behind.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2010.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Hamilton is caught a couple of kilometers later.

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selander wins the second intermediate sprint followed by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/hrm.png Keukeliere takes 3rd from the pack.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2011.jpg

3 km from the second KOM sprint point, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ssc.png Boonratanathanakorn, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/iso.png Quevedo, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/vad.png Gautier and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Shapira have attacked! They are all between three and a half and four and a half minutes behind pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coppel in the GC.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2012.jpg

Both the White and the Green Jerseys are dropped! pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Sutterlin and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand are in the group behind the peloton.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2013.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selander, having dropped pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki on the climb, takes the points in the KOM, and with that the lead in the KOM classification. He will keep it for tonight.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2014.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Bodnar, 3rd in the ITT and in the GC, is now dropped!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2015.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki is caught by the four man attacking group just before the KOM point. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Shapira takes 2nd with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/iso.png Quevedo 3rd.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2016.jpg

28 km left, and we're at the bottom of the descent of the second KOM hill. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Selander has been picked up by the pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/vad.png Gautier group while pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Tsuboki is caught by the peloton. The break's lead is 1'4". The top punchers are still in the peloton.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2017.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/npn.png Novatek, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Tinkoff, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Puma and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/nvo.png Netia are doing the work in the peloton. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Festina are surprisingly missing. The gap has increased to 1'36".

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2018.jpg

We're at the top of the final climb. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Shapira and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/vad.png Gautier have a small advantage over the others. The peloton is down to 73 riders. Overnight KOM leader pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Brandao has been dropped. A bad day for him.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2019.jpg

15 km left. Only pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/vad.png Gauteir and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Shapira out ahead of the peloton. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/aeg.png Thurau is doing a lot of work to chase them down. The peloton's deficit is 45".

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2020.jpg

Just 5 km left now and the gap is still 41".

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2021.jpg

The break is caught with 3 km to go.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2022.jpg

1.5 km. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Trofimov leads them onto the finishing straight. He is being chased by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Meiji, who are riding for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Kuboki. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coppel, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/iso.png Brandle, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ubs.png Goncalves, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Portela, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ers.png Debesay, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Kelderman, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Koretzky, among others are the riders in the best position to challenge.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2023.jpg

800 meters. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Trofimov is being chased by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Koretzky and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Portela. For the moment, it looks like a battle between those three for the win.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2024.jpg

It's pretty much the same situation with 400 meters left. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coppel has taken it easy to stay out of trouble.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2025.jpg

200 meters, and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Koretzky has passed pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Trofimov! He came up like a rocket in the last 200 meters!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2026.jpg

Inside the last 100 meters and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Koretzky has it sown up. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Portela is fading fast. So is pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Trofimov to an extent.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2027.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Koretzky takes it and raises his arms in victory! That's the third stage win for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Festina in a row!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2031.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Trofimov's lead was big enough for him to hold on for 2nd place. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ebd.png Boswell takes 3rd, with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Kelderman 4th.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2028.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ubs.png Goncalves gets a brilliant 5th place, ahead of pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/nvo.png Luis Leon Sanchez, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Kuboki, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Portela, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/npn.png Klemme and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Paulinho. It's all very close in and around the top 10.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2029.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coppel is safe in 25th and he even had time to celebrate his teammate's win before crossing the line.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2030.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Koretzky takes the plaudits today.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS4%2032.jpg

The four man late attack and the ensuing chase by the peloton ensured that the stage was non-selective. That's great news for the TT specialists who hung on till the end, but not so much for the specialist punchers.

Despite this, the top 10 in the GC sees a massive shake-up. Riders in positions 2 through 6 were dropped by the peloton, ensuring pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/iso.png Brandle moves up to 2nd. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Kuboki moves up to 3rd, with his teammate pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mei.png Kwok losing time. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ubs.png Goncalves and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ers.png Craven are the new inclusions in the top 5! pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Trofimov and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Costa's consistency sees them rising to 6th and 7th in the GC, respectively.

In the U25s race, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Sutterlin has a shocker, dropping from 1st to 18th! pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ers.png Hadi is the new leader of the classification. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ubs.png UBS now lead the team standings.
