Flat
A break of 5 goes, including Tommersen (Waghlon, Milram) and Millar (Saunier Duval). But they get caught just as the sprint begins.
After a great lead out by Silence-Lotto, the sprint is between 3 riders - Kuss (Silence), Lofgren (FdeJ) and Kennedy (High Road). Kuss goes early, Lofgren pulls alongside him, and Kennedy goes later, trying to slingshot out. But Kuss holds them both off to win!

6 riders go early, all AI riders. But with 65km to go, Milram launch Gurprasad off, and De La Fuente (Saunier Duval) goes with him, joining the break then leaving them behind in the bit more hilly territory.
And as the sprint began, it looked like it would be close for these two, but with metres to go, the peloton edged past them and it was Rabobank's McKenzie who edged out Kuss for the second stage win of the season

Stage 2 - 16th
Currently 21st overall
Hilly stage comes on stage 5, there are 6 stages I think
