Name TT PRL Coppel 83 83 Vlatos 81 81 Sütterlin 80 80 Van Winden 80 80 Dillier 80 79 Brändle 79 79 Kwok 79 79 Haugard 79 79 Boom 78 78 Goncalves 78 66
Bakari gets us going. He sets a time of 21'44" at the first checkpoint.
Seboka (Project: Africa) improves it by a second. New time to beat is 21'43".
Rybalkin brings it down a another minute. it now stands at 20'43".
Hussein smashes it at 19'27".
Van Winden improves it to 18'56". He is the first of our stage favourites out on track.
Johansson lowers it further to 18'46".
Bakari comes to the finish at 44'5".
Hussein is much faster at 40'13".
Van Winden puts his foot down to clock 39'15".
Johansson with a surprise lead for the time being. His time to beat is 38'53".
It is beaten by his teammate Haugard, who was also the fastest after the first intermediate time check. His time is 38'48".
Away from our cameras, Roche has gone 4th while Pollitt is 6th. Their times are 1'13" and 1'25" behind at the moment.
Ortega goes 7th, 1'49" down.
Hamza is 5th, slower by 1'24".
Bontenackels is 1'9" slower and 4th for the moment.
Irvine with an impressive time. 19" slower and 3rd right now.
Fejes goes 11th. His time is 1'55".
Tzortzakis breaks into the top 5, 34" off.
Vlatos is first past the first intermediate, 13 seconds faster than Haugard. He improves by a further 7 seconds in the second section to clock 18'28".
It is raining lightly now!
Sutterlin immediately goes 2nd at the first intermediate, just 3 seconds slower than Vlatos. But he loses time to end up 4th, 27" down at the finish! Did the rain spoil his run there?
Boom, one of the premium all-rounders in this race, has a bad day. He's 1'23" down on the best time.
Dilier had clocked the fastest time through the first intermediate. But he too loses time in the second section, taking provisional 3rd, but 26" off. The rain looks to have stopped now.
Walsleben is 15th, at 1'23" deficit.
Kwok is 8th, 58" slower.
Brandle clocks 18'16" at the first intermediate, the fastest time so far. But he ends up 50" behind Vlatos at the finish! Too soon too fast for the Austrian here.
Bodnar further improves the best time at the first intermediate, clocking 18'7". He too, falls of the pace later, ending up 26" slower.
Kelderman is 3'16" slower.
Gautier at 3'58".
Luis Leon Sanchez is the best of the specialist punchers, 2'12" behind.
Klemme is 2'32" slower.
de Bie is 3' down.
Rui Costa lives up to his all-rounder billing, losing just 1'32".
Koretzky loses a massive 4'21".
Coppel is the first rider to go sub-18' at the first time check. He holds his lead through the second section, clocking 38' even and taking 1st place.
Debesay loses 2'1".
Trofimov will probably be disappointed losing 2'11".
Kuboki is 1'42" down.
Moser is slower by 3'13".
Grosu clocks in 4'31" slower.
Brandao, 6th in the GC before this stage, loses 5'3"! Not unexpected, though.
Selander loses 4'15".
Serebriakov is slower by 3'37".
Ciolek loses 3'42".
Coquard is the best of the specialist sprinters, losing 2'34" to his teammate.
Ahlstrand loses his jersey after being 3'58" slower than Coppel.
The winner and the new GC leader - Jerome Coppel.
There are huge changes in the GC after today's stage. Festina ruling the roost but Spotify also had a good stage with two riders in the top 6. UBS and Meiji with two riders in the GC top 10. Sutterlin is leading the U25 standings after today.
