Today we will stay in Gendringen where yesterday’s route ended, for a Team Time Trail.
Gendringen is a town in Gelderland, known to have existed since the Middle Ages, it the time belonging to Land van den Bergh County of the Duchy of Gelre. Notably a town tthen important enough to have the right of minting coins. Today a town of 4423 inhabitants.
The route is completely flat, only teamwork and high tempo will matter today.
We have a time check after 6.2 km, that is 37.5% of the route length.
Podium Ambition starts the race, they do not bring any clear tempo riders and could not expect a good stage. Their time check is 7’58
Next Löbauer Stadtwerke not the strongest team either, maybe they could expect to beat Podium Ambition but at the time check they are 2” slower.
Then Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo as we might expect not a strong team for this either, 3rd +10”
Ticos Air Costa Rica not able to push Podium Ambition out of the intermediate lead either, 3rd +3”
Minions, on paper the strongest team we have seen so far, but loses 10’s of seconds, 2nd in the same time as Podium Ambition

So how will the result affect the general classification
First of all it was a hard blow to previus race leader Dominique Cornu falling way back to 23th.
Mikhail Ignatiev how leading with just 1” to Ian Stannard.
Elia Viviani moving up from 7th to 3rd
Rasmus Sterobo up from 19th to 4th and teammated Ken Sebastian Vassdal and
Josh Atkins 5th and 6th with similar huge jumps forward.
Rohan Dennis, Andrew Tennant, Pierre Rolland, Shane Archbold 7th to 10th all also improving substaintaly.
Dmitri Grabovski falls out of top 10 and Manuele Boaro could not follow his team’s otherwise good stage and also fall out of top 10.
Michael Valgren Andersen loses the youth jersey to Josh Atkins, a lot of other changes, too many to mention.
