A bumpy flat route starts us off in Norway. The sprinters are favoured to take the win here. Despite the bumps, they should not be troubled too much. The sprint field is stacked so it should be an exciting finish.

The early racing sees a five man break emerge. The riders in the break are pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/iso.png Laas, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Le Roux, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/kmm.png Pollitt, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/nvo.png Veyhe and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Brandao.

They do not last very long and are back in the peloton.

The day's break finally forms a few kilometers before the first intermediate sprint. It consists of:

20 km left. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Puma and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify still lead the pack. The break is back in sight, with their lead now just 57".

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%209.jpg

The break is caught with 11 km to go. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ssc.png SPAR have once again joined in the pace-making.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2010.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Kelderman does the pace-making in the peloton! He is getting support from pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ssc.png Moazemi, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Felline and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Bol, followed by the pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify boys. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify have also formed their train on the right with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Haugard, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Kvist and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Reimer, but where is pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand? He hasn't latched onto it yet. Looking back, we see the pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify leader back around 20th place, and on pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Ciolek's wheel.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2012.jpg

3.5 km to go. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Puma have moved into a strong position. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/npn.png Serebriakov has decided to use their train to launch his own sprint. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand has finally found his leadout train. The pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ssc.png SPAR boys are on the left while pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coquard and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ebd.png Grosu are locked onto pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand's tail.

2 km. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Puma, with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/npn.png Serebriakov in tow are still in the best position but SPAR have caught up to them. The pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify train has lost some ground. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/rbc.png Young, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Kupfernagel, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Drapac, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Lavione, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Moser, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/vad.png Manninen, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/tsa.png Porsev, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/hrm.png Keukeliere and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mol.png Vanoverschelde have all got into pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify's slipstream.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2014.jpg

1.2 km to go and the pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Spotify train is moving up on the outside. They are pulling the entire line of sprinters up along with them.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2015.jpg

700 meters. the lead-outs go off and we go nine wide towards the finish! How pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ssc.png Haider Anuar and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ebd.png Grosu have not tripped each other on the far right is beyond me!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2016.jpg

300 meter left. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Ciolek on the left, leads by half a bike-length over pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand on the right. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Lavoine has managed to negotiate pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Lander, who ended up directly in front of him as he jumped out of pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Ciolek's path.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2017.jpg

100 meters to go. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Ciolek still leads. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Kupfurnagel is the fastest finisher. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ebd.png Grosu, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coquard, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Moser and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Drapac are all moving up. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Lavoine seems to be fading. Who will come out on top?

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2018.jpg

Inside the final 10 meters. It is as close as it gets between pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Ciolek and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand are inseparable!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2019.jpg

And it's a photo-finish!! The judges award the win to pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/spy.png Ahlstrand after studying the replays. How close was that?! pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/pum.png Ciolek will be heart-broken! pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ssc.png Guerao is a clear 3rd. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ebd.png Grosu pips pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coquard for 4th.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2020.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fab.png Lavoine, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/npn.png Serebriakov, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Kupfernagel, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/ino.png Moser and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Drapac make up the rest of the top 10.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2021.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/rbc.png Young is 11th, ahead of pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/hrm.png Keukeliere.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2022.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2023.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/fes.png Coppel rounds out the top 20.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/PTHC/Norway/TONS1%2024.jpg
