A thread where you can ask about your computer is good enough for PCM 2008, and what you need to do if it's not.
I start with mine; I am only having a processor of 1.86 GHz, will my computer take it or not? |

As always, always provide more info than just one of the objects inside your computer and i can make a qualified guess.

Enough RAM, you might lack a bit CPU power, but for a laptop it will do. As long as your graphics card isnt from Intel, i suppose you'll survive.

@rjc_43: You'll be fine as long as you dont do any excessively pretty stuff in 3D mode.
@Tommeke: You should be fine, but cut down a bit on the 3D intensive stuff too
@ember: I think i wrote down how somewhere in the PCM08 forum. Ill go dig it up again.

If you go into control panel - then system - then device manager
a list of computer parts appears - click display adapters (or graphics cards) - it will then appear with the name of your graphics card.
These steps are ones I take on Vista, but its practically identical on XP
@rjc: your set up is going to be borderline playable because of your onboard intel graphics - remember that Intel cards are not supported by PCM. I'm not sure if it will run at all, but you could always wait for a demo if you were patient or alternatively don't throw out the receipt for the game |

You need to say what your graphics card is - if you dont know, instructions are above
EDIT: A triple post - I salute myself for my inability to condense my answers into one post ops:
