I much prefered the rabbit-system they had a couple of months ago, where you had to type the letters with rabbits on them. This is just funny

I love the one with the Riemann hypothesis
the others are typical questions from IQ tests.
still...brilliant.
I'd just like to add: rapidshare sucks in every single little detail. I have absolutely no idea whatsoever why anyone uploads crap there. It literally makes me want to punch those people.

not Rapidshare users. just the people who upload stuff there
several reasons
1. You have to wait a gigantic crapload of time between two downloads. usually 80 mins.
2. File sizes are limited to little over 100mb. that means even more time waiting for downloads
3. You have to input a code that just keeps getting harder to see
4. after inputting the code you wait...sometimes up to 3 minutes
5. download speed is average at best
6. for people in certain regions it quite simply refuses to work
In every single aspect it is far from the best upload service, yet most people use it for no good reason other than sadism.
Uploading crap to rapidshare is like telling someone "I got you a gift. It's over there in that ledge. be careful not to fall off the 30th story while picking it up. Also, to get there you have to walk on burning coal and then open a door with a delayed lock that takes 3 days to open. have fun"

Unless you get a premium account which destroys ALL those points. And those who upload to rapidshare often DO have a premium account. If you own an account and renew it, you get points that can be used to extend your account further. If you upload files over 10mb and another premium account downloads them, then you get more points useable to extend your account. Ie once you have a premium account, it's never ending, and cheap to keep going either way. Or you can do what i do, and share the account payment between 5 of us therefore making a years subscription all of ten pounds. Then the download speed is completely based on YOUR broadband. At uni i had 2mb per second download speed. There are no codes as a premium user to type in, and you can set up automatic one click downloads. Also as a premium you can upload files of ANY size, and download files of ANY size.
As to the different regions bits, get a better internet service provider/move/i dont care cos it works for me.

Ok, so its not easy or pleasant to download from Rapidshare...don't you think that is stretching it a little far though?
Wait, no, you forgot to mention the three mutated, blood-thirsty rottweilers that sit and guard the door with the delayed lock.
Little known fact: one of the three vicious animals is called 'tiddles'

Yes, I know all that.
So your idea of an alternative to better free services is paying for the one who isn't as good?
Where's the logic?

Well maybe portray the image that you do next time to save me blabbing on

I personally find Rapidshare quick, easy to use, and not full of adverts like many other trashy (in appearance) upload sites.
And as already said, i don't actually pay for it anymore, it runs itself - therefore FREE, or constantly decreasing in the original price i paid (all of one month £5)
