Haha that's good news.. BUT I don't have a computer at the moment that can run the game.. Or at least I don't think it can ..

Didn't say it wasn't realistic .. There will ALWAYS be someone that crack games and copyprotection.. That's just something we can't change .. And I don't support it at all ..
Copy-protection is rather useless.. It just complicates things a bit .. Maybe slows them (the people that cracks the game) down for an hour og two.. |

I might download it this year. You get it quicker and you don't need a disc (but can burn it to one if needed). There aren't any downsides really, so I think I will download it.
Not now though, I can't be bothered.

The only way Turismo will go crazy if its Cycling.tv
The only way Crue wont close this support if you are on the torrents in order to grab the game. There will be no laughing smiley in this case.
But im all for making Turismo crazy

This year i'm going to buy it from Game.co.uk. £5 cheaper with free postage, and on a disc so i'm less likely to loose it. Yeah i'm not very good with keeping emails.
Plus the later release suits me as my exams will have only just finished.

For those of you curious. The download is 4,10 gigabytes and it runs through a downloader from Metaboli.
The download will take roughly 4 hours 30 minutes without maxing my line. |

When i want to download the game and reach the "choose your means of payment," step I have nothing to choose from.
On the screen it says "please choose your means of payment," and that's all.
No Visa or Mastercard or anything like that. Is it supposed to be like that or am I just doing something wrong?

Thanks for the tip, Mads. It's on the frontpage now, including a small tip I hope you've used before buying it |

Does the download version have a limit on how many times you can install the game - or is it a limit on how many computers you can install it on?

If you're not reformatting the hard drive, just reinstalling PCM (or even making several parallel intalls), you don't need to use up new activations. just delete the game folder and re-run the installation program over it. It installs a new one and you can just put whatever DB/Mod you want on it.
Right now I have 7 or 8 different installs of 07 on my PC, each with it's own DB
Hope that answered your question

You may only install it at three different computers. However, if you format your computer and then install the game again it will use one activation. There's two things to remember, though:
1. You can always request new activation keys from Metaboli.
2. You can make a backup of the registry key and click the backup every time it asks to be activated. This way you won't lose an activation. |

Uh, one thing I just came to think of:
If you have already installed the game I guess you can use the DB Editor already. It's in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM08/DatabaseEditor -> PCM2008Editor.exe. I doubt that you need to activate the game before using it. |

Thanks - so you only use up activations if its being installed on a different PC?
Thats the thing thats always held be back from getting the download version not knowing what it actually meant, and although its five pound more, Im not sure if I can wait 8 days longer for it to be released.
Only if it's on a different PC, or if you format your own PC.
I can also put it this way: I have the DL-version of PCM07. I have used 1 activation in total. I have reinstalled the game an uncountable amount of times |
