Zmorka (Porto-Prio) takes the lead! His time is 1hr5'39".
The time is immediately bettered by Vlatos who improves it by a whopping 1'5". The new time to beat is 1hr4'34".
Away from our cameras, Danacik has come in taking 4th place, 1'15" off the lead, but just 10" off Zmorka in 2nd, Bibby has taken 5th, 1'29" down, Johansson has become 6th, 1'43" off and Gruzdev has finished in 7th place, 1'44" slower than the top time.
We catch up with Malori, who clocks the 9th fastest time for the moment. He is slower by 1'47".
Aramendia has done a storming ride to come in just 17 seconds down on Vlatos!
Lammertink and Hepburn clocked the 8th and 3rd fastest times, 1'37" and 52" seconds slower than the fastest time for the moment. Unfortunately, their rides were missed by our cameras.
We have a new benchmark! Nascimento (Porto-Prio) clocks 1hr4'6" and is the new leader. He overtook Nathan Brown on the road, who is no slouch himself, finishing with the 11th fastest time for the moment, 2'6" off the Porto - Prio rider's time. The difference in performance is visible by this picture alone!
Cheung comes home in 8th, 1'55" down.
Golovash improves on 8th, 3" faster at 1'52".
Haugard again betters 8th place timing, being 1'45" slower.
Schadlich goes 5th, at 1'32".
Yatsevich has a disappointing outing. He is 2'20" slower and well out of contention.
Sutterlin now goes 5th. He is off by 1'29".
Gonzalez Salas slots in 3" behind Sutterlin in 6th.

Kittel pulls out a good run. He is 50" down on Nascimento.

We have a new leader! Taylor Phinney betters Nascimento's time by 4" seconds. The new benchmark is 1hr4'2". Just two riders to go after this.
Fiedler (Porto-Prio) can only manage 4th as he is 9" slower than Phinney.
Coppel is last out on track. He matches Phinney's time to the second! It is now up to the judges to decide today's winner.
