Stage 4 basically is stage 3 in reverse coming from the long mountain and then 4 smaller climbs in the end.

Surely the first of 2 opportunities for the puncheurs to attack. Kwiatkowski is in a comfortable situation but Reichenbach, Roche or Zardini clearly need to gain back some time.

Also within the stage racers there`s differences. Some pure climbers such as Marquez or Nazaret need to perform to defend their position against others with better skills on short climbs

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lpu.png Dall'Oste easily takes the first two KoM climbs as clearly being the best of those five. The 2016 Giro d'Italia King of the Mountain is definitely an expert in hunting those kind of jerseys.

After the first 2 hills a split in the peloton with ~55 riders remaining in the peloton. Biggest name missing: pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Úran !!!

Also pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/mol.png Stancu and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lpu.png Senni in the later group.

But the Minions leader really not having a good race here so far. Not looking really motivated neither.

It took almost 10km until he made contact again at the start of the 3rd climb with 28km to go.

18km and after hill 3 it`s ~45 riders only left and still hunting the breakaway which has ~5min advantage.

This time Uran remains in the first group while one rider for today in Kuboki just got dropped.

The break almost guaranteed to win today but then again it`s Teklehaimanot working now and he has impressively shown yesterday how fast he can go on the uphill sections.

Halfway up the final climb it`s Dall'Oste solo. 1min behind him Brandao and another 100s later Girdlestone.

All others caught while the peloton still has 5min to them.

Weird attack. First being dropped, then coming back, basically isolated then and now the attack. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/min.png Úran only was 8th yesterday and is 2'28 behind, hence his attack is absolutely needed.

Surprisingly it`s the climbers trying to follow in pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/hrm.png Pinot and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros17/bgc.png Marquez while UBS with Frank and Kung are working. For either Schelling or Reichenbach.

Dall'Oste obviously taking the last points as well and has won all four Cat.2 today and taking over the KoM lead followed by Brandao and Denz in this competition.

Stage wise only Brandao still in between him and Uran, who is having a few seconds gap to Pinot/Marquez and the peloton as well then.

Teklehaimanot yet again worked hard and totally deserved to take a rest then as he dropped just like Costagli on that last hill. Great support rider Eritel is having there.

King of the stage though is Dall'Oste. The Lierse rider really is a breakaway specialist and shows this once again.

Last update was a bit over 4min to the peloton and hence would also see him move up in the GC surely closer to the top10.

Brandao totally exhausted and reached by Uran at the Flamme Rouge. Now for the 2nd.

Which easily was won by Uran ahead of Brandao but in the end the peloton just behind them and hence no time gain for the Minion.

Travis Meyer won the sprint for 4th while Martinez adds more stage points for the Minion team.
No real changes then though as all big riders basically in this group, that really came close in the end. Just 1'30 gain for Dall'Oste and hence a lot less than expected on top of that last climb.
Still sees him moving up to 13th ahead of big names such as Berhane, Roche, Reichenbach, Zardini, Costagli.
