The continents' best TT riders are lining up against each other: 5 teams contesting on a flat 91km parcours from Ha to Thimphu in Bhutan. The profile is not totally flat, as 1350m of accumulated height gained is surely quite a lot for a team time trial. Today's race is splitted into three time checks after.
The biggest favourites are surely from Europe. It would be quite a surprise if they won't take a win today, but surely both America and for the first time ever Oceania should give it all to try to beat them. Asia and Africa likely look to be destinated for a fight for 4th and 5th place. But well, who knows?
Start list order: Oceania, Asia, America, Africa and Europe.
Oceania is the first team to go through the first split with a time of 22'32.
Asia crossing this split next, already trailing by 10 seconds.
America improve the fastest time by 9 seconds to 22'23!
Team Africa will need to improve as they are 16 seconds slower than America. Good enough for 3rd provisional place.
And Europe are flying as they are 24 seconds faster than America!

Africa still with all 8 riders and 65 seconds slower than America, but that means that the riders from Dark Continent were able to turn around an disadvantage of seconds into a 13 seconds lead over Oceania!

Oceania are the first team to finish today. Dennis, Durbridge, Roe, Ford and Olman is the finishing five with the time 1h55'33.
Asia finish with 5 riders as well, but dropped just before the finish line. Nepomnyachsniy, Kuboki, Kwok, Gruzdev and Bui are 40 seconds slower than Oceania and so likely the slowest team of the day.
America finish with almost 7 riders: Nascimento, Cataford, Amador, Phinney, Bookwatler and a bit behind Abreau and De Luna. They are 67 faster than Oceania, but that actually means they were a little bit slower than the greenhorn of this race in the latest part.
Here is Africa with their finishing five including Teklehaimanot, Thomson, Janse van Rensburg, Betilson and Petrus. It was a really close finish, but they just lose a really tight battle with Oceania by 1 second!
Europeans also finishing with just 5 riders: Taaramäe, Cornu, Keizer, Coppel and Fiedler. They are 97 seconds faster than America and take gold medals once again!
