The last individual time trial of this yearms Continental Championships takes us to Slovakia. On todayms menu we have European individual time-trial that finishes in Ružomberok, a town of around 30,000 inhabitants.
The biggest favourites surely are Coppel, Fiedler, Zmorka, Keizer and Taaramäe.
The first rider to start is local star Peter Velits. He sets the first time to beat of the day - 35m20s.
Daniel Turek beats him by 3 seconds, but his time absolutely smashes...
Simon Spilak. He is 28 seconds faster than Peter Velits (34m51s). Surely will take some time to beat this performance...
But Goncalves is just 4 seconds slower and Quadee is slower only by a few tenths of a second. So maybe Spilak was not that fast at all...
And Elia Viviani improves Spilakms time by quite a lot! 59 seconds (33m51s)! Wow!
Tennant (34m36s) and Yatsevich (34m44s) are classified provisionally as 2nd and 3rd.
But thatms only before Justo Tenorio arrives home. He ends up losing 25 seconds on Viviani, but his time (34m16s) ranks him comfortably to 2nd place so far.
Tanel Kangert does not really impress today with quite a poor time for a rider of his abilities (34m54s).
Dennis Van Winden surely wonmt be happy with his performance today (34m47s).
Schädlich rounds up provisional podium (34m20s), 29 seconds down on Viviani.
The last rider of the first wave of riders is Viennet. I believe his manager is going to be happy with his todayms time (34m05s), 2nd.
Marcin Bialoblocki (34m43s), Andy Schleck (34m47s) and especially Adrian Malori (34m32s) all notched decent times, all move into provisional top 10.
Ian Bibby confirms a good day for British cycling with a nice time (34m27s) ranking him as 5th at that time.
Kritskiy (34m18s) goes to 4th position. Probably hoped for more.
Omar Fraile goes 7th (34m30s) before Gert Joeaar surprisingly moves to 6th (34m26s)!
Robert Gesink unable to beat even Joeaar - surely a massive disapointment for Dutch star (34m27s).
Marcel Kittel surely hoped for something more as well. Even worse than Gesink (34m32s).
On the other way, Yoann Paillot is surely going to be in a different mood. Unable to beat him team mate Viennet, but still at least on provisional podium (34m15s).
Johansson surprises a lot which is surely a great melody to the ears of his manager! Provisionally 7th with a really decent time (34m20s)!
Here is Koren. He is the best Slovenian today (34m23s). 8th provisionally.
Pluchkin goes 2nd! Impressive result, but still some way behind Viviani (34m02s).
Cattaneo (34m43s) and Stannard (34m46s) both disappointing.
Matthias Brändle finishes 8th, just in-between Schädlich and Johansson (34m20s). Surely quite a decent result for him.
Cancellarams heir Dillier surely wonmt get a medal today, but he should be probably happy with his time today, as he finishes 20 seconds behind Viviani (34m11s).
Ignatiev massively dissapointing today, as he finishes 50 seconds behind Viviani way down the results table.
On the other way Mario Gonzalez Salas finishes 4th, 19 seconds behind Viviani (34m10s).
And even Rein Taaramae arrives only 2nd, even though this time only 8 seconds behind Viviani (33m59s)!
Keizer to be the King of the day? Not today. 2nd place and only 2 seconds behind Generalims rider (33m53s).
Panagiotis Vlatos finishes 5th, 13 seconds back (34m04s). Surely a good result for him and his manager.
And we finally have a new leader as Dominique Cornu beats Vivianims time by 3 seconds (33m47s)!
Ukranian sensation Marlen Zmorka is unable to finish even in top 10 today (34m18s). Thankfully for Porto - Prio, they still have another hope in this race...
That hope is Jacob Fiedler, the reigning champion. And experienced German truly delivers again! His time 33m27s smashes Cornums leading time by 19 seconds!
The last rider to come in is Jerome Coppel.
And... he narrowly beats... Cornu! That means he is only 2nd (33m47s), 19 second behind Fiedler, who successfuly defends his title of the European champion!
