...races problem solved but I have another one...
Now my new game keep freezing near the end of 2nd week of the Giro.
I've always done heavy editing so I check as many things as I can think of to stop the crash, pushing graphic to the minimum, stop using new graphic items, changing stages & variants, rolling back and fourth between saves, but no luck...the game still freezing in 3D at near the end of either stage 12, 13, or 14, no matter what stage is used. I can't finish any stage after that.
Memory and cpu uses don't seem to be a problem.
Can it be the .cdb size? Because the freeze looks to have something to do with game progress. Too bad I don't have any save from different career, but I'm sure I've played beyond 1.7 mb of .cdb size before, even close to 3.0. But so far I have no idea about other things linked to game progression.
Anyone with similar experience?
A clear no to cdb size, why would it cause freezing in 3D? Plus I've played long careers without problems with a cdb size over 4 MB.
Freezing in 3D must have a different reason. I'd say it's the hardware. On my old PC it happpened regularly (though not that regularly), the game would freeze and I'd have to restart the stage. And it would always freeze late in the stage. But since I got my new PC two or three years ago I don't have that problem anymore. I've gone from 2 GB Ram to 16 GB and the gfx card (GTX 760 OEM) from 512 MB to 1.5 GB and one or the other clearly helped. The one thing you didn't mention and I'd suggest is to deactivate replays, that should save resources.
