...Not really but here's a new one. Computer crashed so i had the hard drive cleaned, re-installed PCM07 with no db changes (was using spain) played for a week or so with no problems. Wanted to try the PCMdaily08 db, followed the instructions and no luck, just wouldn't work. Uninstalled everything even deleted the 08 download, now when i try to run the standard PCM07 it'll crash on loading. Plus when initially starting it prompts me for safety driver updates (never use to do that). Any clues?? |

Did that already, like I said, this one is new to me. Right now I'm downloading the game again in hopes of a clean sweep. Hopefully that works. |

Hey Levi, how's your riding going? Been riding down in Santa Clarita a bit lately but it's been too windy in Palmdale. If you get a chance you have to ride the camp nine ride, about 2800 ft of climbing in no time. Great ride, better descent. |

Santa Clarita is a bit out of the way. I am in the North Bay.
As for my riding I have been doing none on account of my broken collarbone. I jumped on the bike a few days ago(not good for the collarbone:lol on a whim and was doing 30 easily with a 5 MPH tailwind. Then the wind kicked up on the way home. It was slow going to say the least.
The wind used to really bug me. Not so much anymore. I just take it with the "it is what it is" attitude and it makes you stronger. Living in Coastal Valleys rocks

I don't know what it is about the high desert, but the wind here is just heavy. I can ride in Santa Clarita with 20mph winds with only minor suffering, but in Palmdale, it's a 20mph constant, that really screws with your mojo. Maybe 2800 to 3000 ft of elevation vs. 1200 ft makes the difference? |

20 is the norm around here as well. It has been very windy recently though. People would walk in to my work and the door would slam behind them so hard they would jump every time. It is funny

All I can say is that I hate the wind, I'm fair weather, what can I do... |

Coop, have you deleted all pcm folders before you reinstalled ?
1. Uninstall the game
2. delete pcm folder in '../'program files/pcm' (or something like that)
3. delete the folder inn %appdata%
4. delete the folder in 'my documents'
Try that |

True, you have to do that. I'm sure you've missed one of them.
After that,
1. Install PCM
2. Install latest patch
3. Place all the DB files in the main PCM-foler
4. Start a career
5. If you want to play a single race, you need to go to your Database folder and rename OfficialReleaseSingle.cdb to OfficialRelease.cdb |

I would download the 1-click DB changer and follow the instructions contained within. There's no need to delete anything or reinstall the program. I installed the PCM.daily DB with the DB changer and it worked quite nicely!

thanks all, I was forgetting the folder in my documents. Haven't had a chance to try it just yet, but we'll see. |
