Who do you think will be this year's biggest surprise in the TDF? Are we in for a Fignon 83' like surprise this year perhaps?
Personally I hope some of the French riders will surprise positively, like Pauriol or Le Mevel, maybe the belgian Monfort if he's riding TDF this year.
I think the AG2R's Efimkin will have a strong showing.

I think Devolder and Kirchen could surprise us all, if this is a clean TDF, free from EPO, I think those two would have a chance. Kirchen surprised me last year. |

I dream of Lövqvist pulling away in the mountain and taking the win in the TT. |

depending on people's expectations for him, Valverde. I have a feeling he'll be right up there.
why? look at everyone in the past ten years who did the Vuelta at high level, really pushing it to finish it. they suffered a lot in the Tour the next year. Once they stopped doing the Vuelta, their Tour performances skyrocketed. the examples are numerous.
Valverde finally skipped the Vuelta last year. |

I also believe that Devolder can surprise.. Maybe Kim Kirchen, Efimkin (Maybe he can do well), Valverde but he is always a favourite.. But he flopped last year so we'll see what he can do this year |

devolder isn"t that good of a climber ( see vuelta last year).
i go with riders like dekker/kirchen/ etc
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around
RIP WW. Gone but not forgotten

Valverde is due a performance he is always a fav but never produced really. I think its really his only chance to win as next yr will see contador return and there is no one out there at the min who could beat him. valverde might struggle to get rid of evans in mountains and i fear he will lose time in time trials but i would expect him to finish in top 5 this year if he makes it to the end. I think Andy Schleck will produce this year as he has put everything into the tour but saying that so has valverde. Rogers could be a supprise. I can see a top 10 of evans, popo, sastre, kirchen, solar, zubeldia, rogers, efimkin, dekker or gesink and a schleck

Gerald Ciolek! I think he can win the sprint jersey if not Boonen and McEwen are in good form. Also look out for Andy Schleck. |

Year Andy Schleck for a top 10.. Gesink could get a top 10 too .. I think Andy Schleck or Robert Gesink will take the white jersey..
Soler will probably go for the mountain jersey .. |

Holy overrating, batman!
plus, it's pretty much a given he's not riding. he'll lead Rabobank at the Vuelta |

I think Moreau finally has understood that it is important to not burn out all his resources before the Tour, and in the first week of the Tour. I am hoping for Moreau
