Hello all, I have noticed that in my CM stages folder, some of the stages only have one cdx file, as opposed to the other two zces and cds.. Does this mean that they won't work properly, as some, such as the baltyk tour and velta a burgos, are on my schedule, and I was wondering what was going to happen.. Please can anybody shine any light on this for me, thank you very much..
A .cdx file is used when the stage hasn't been made yet.
You won't be riding the real route of those races when a .cdx file is used, the .cdx points the game to another stage to use instead and changes the start and finish names, you can check which stage is used instead by opening the .cdx file in notepad or other similar programs.
This means that the Vuelta a Burgos might be using a mix of stages that were originally part of the Vuelta Espana or the tour of Catalunya instead of the actual Vuelta a Burgos route as those stages aren't made yet.
The stages will still play fine but using a .cdx file means that you can still have the race in the game and using the .cdx instead of just copying the files from the stage it points to saves space as a .cdx file is a lot smaller.
