Trainer reputation. How much does it affect?

Does anyone have an idea how and how much the trainers affects a riders training?

That is a very good question! One that I sadly dont have the answer to, but what I have found is that what is important is that the trainer and rider has the same view i.e "Traditional" and so on. But if it is money well spent to get a higher ranked trainer, I have no idea.
