In Great Britain we will be racing on the cobbled course making Blythe, Thomas and Feenn not only the favourites but also the least likely winners.
Plenty of attacking right from the start leaves us with a 9-rider break consisting of
Cummings
Edmondson
Yates
Yates
Tennant
Dowsett
Burke
Murray
Peters
It quickly becomes obvious that no one wants to chase down the break, however spotting the obvious favourite in the group is much harder as none of them really enjoy cobbles.
With 11 km to go Peters makes a move being a bit stronger than the others on cobbles, but inferior in every other matter.
The other riders lead by S. Yates have no trouble closing the gap when back on the tarmac.
Nothing else happens until the final km.
Edmonson is first onto the cobbles followed by S. Yates and Dowsett.
It's an extremely close finish but noone manages to make a difference on the final cobbled part
Game crashed but these are the top finishers:
1 Joshua Edmondson
2 Simon Yates
3 Alex Dowsett
4 Thomas Murray
5 Adam Yates
6 Andrew Tennant
For the ITT it looks like a battle between Stannard, Tennant, Bibby and Burke
However Stannard destroys the competition right from the first time-check with Faiers bing the only positive surprise though far off challenging the defending champion.
