Austrian National Championships

Welcome to the Austrian National Championships! We have got 21 riders taking on the 51km Hilly course. Another wide open race with various potential winners, but probably a breakaway.

And thus the attack comes almost immediately, as is the usual pattern. Haller (TIF), Gogl (BEC), Postlberger (WHA), Eisel (VAD) and Muhlberger (SPR) make a lead quintet.

With a rider from Weisenhof in the break there was not chance the peloton could chase this down.

With 4km to go Muhlberger attacks! Eisel goes with him. Another well timed late attack?

Mulhberger is definately the better climber over Eisel and drives the move up to the line, but they're losing ground to the sprinting chasers...

Gregor Muhlberger wins! Eisel takes a great 2nd place, with Haller almost closing the gap.

The ITT isn't exactly enthralling... A great fight for 2nd between Zoidl and Hofer but 2nd in an NC means very little in comparision to winning.

No worries for Matthias Brandle, he wins by 1'28 in comfortable fashion. All the glory to him and Weisenhof in this event.
