Within the first KM, a breakaway of 7 riders, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/kch.png Magnusson, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cpl.png Pakthusov, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/azt.png Orue, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Joeaar, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Andriafenomananiaina and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Handley.
But they only get 1’13, the peloton doesn’t like it, and reel them back in.

With 33 km behind them another attack, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Joeaar and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/kch.png Magnusson tries again. This time without any reaction from the bunch.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/1.jpg

When they get to the first intermediate sprint with 58.1 km completed, they got 4’01.

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Joeaar wins in front of pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/2.jpg

Over the next 30 km the breakaway build up a lead of 5’22, but with about 100 km to go, the peloton starts to build up pace fronted by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Handley and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Perry, to protect pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Mark Christian’s race lead.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/3.jpg

The breakaway reach the 2nd sprint, 109 km completed the distance is down to 3’51. Again pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Joeaar in front of pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz.

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/kch.png Magnusson does not compete, either not feeling well or saves energy for later.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/4.jpg

40 km left the distance is already down to 1’12, Still Schuh in front of the peloton, now only with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Handley.

35 km left, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/kch.png Magnusson attacks with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Joeaar on wheel, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz lose contact.

30 km left, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz is back, 1’03 to the bunch

20 km left, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Schultz exploded how sitting in the pack.

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Cardoso now setting pace in the peloton with 50 km/h

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/5.jpg

17 km left.
The last intermediate sprint is won by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Joeaar over pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/kch.png Magnusson, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/prp.png Coutinho takes the last two points, soon after the breakaway is over.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/6.jpg

4 km left.
Two trains are forming, in front Aeropostal with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Pirazzi, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Rujano, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Dall'Antonia and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Cardoso leading for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Granjel Cabrera, on his wheel we got pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Ulanowski, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Selig and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/prp.png Coutinho

Left of them the Eritel train, with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Teklit and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Afewerki leading for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Van Heerden, on his wheel pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ioc.png Sonnery, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Giacoppo, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/wcc.png Jones, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/flc.png Mansilla and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cpl.png Sutton.

A sharp right turn coming up in just 30 meters.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/7.jpg

2 km left.
Still Aeropostal leading, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Dall'Antonia and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Cardoso leading for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Granjel Cabrera, on his wheel we got pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Ulanowski now with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/azt.png Rodríguez behind his right side, and hanging 2 meters behind Ulanowski’s, teammate pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Gomenyuk

Behind Ulanowski’s left side, a new train seems to form between the two we had previously. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Selig with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/prp.png Coutinho, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Giacoppo, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/wcc.png Jones, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/flc.png Mansilla, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cpl.png Sutton and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Benfatto.

Further left taking the longer route into a slightly right curve towards the finish, still the Eritel train, just 2,5 meters behind Dall'Antonia, still led by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Teklit and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Afewerki for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Van Heerden on his wheel now only pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ioc.png Sonnery

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/8.jpg

Under the red kite

In front pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Cardoso with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Granjel Cabrera firmly glued.
The their left , just a meter behind pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Afewerki for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Van Heerden

Several meters further back pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Ulanowski, a cycle length behind him all on line from left to right, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ioc.png Sonnery, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Dall'Antonia, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Giacoppo and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/esc.png Martinez, incredible move by him, just 1 km back he was 30-40 meters behind the others.

Another 2-4 meters back pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Teklit, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/azt.png Rodríguez, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Selig, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/prp.png Coutinho and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/wcc.png Jones.

Another 2 meters further back, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Gomenyuk and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/flc.png Mansilla.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/9.jpg

300 meters
Now both pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Granjel Cabrera and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Van Heerden has just passed their lead-out, in the middle of the road Granjel Cabrera, far left Van Heerden just a wheel length after.

Then pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Cardoso and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Afewerki.

2 meters behind Afewerki, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Ulanowski and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ioc.png Sonnery, on line with them pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Giacoppo and behind his right pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/wcc.png Jones.

A few meters further back pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/flc.png Mansilla, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/prp.png Coutinho and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/spw.png Selig.

Everyone else seems to have boiled over.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/10.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/avc.png Raúl Granjel Cabrera wins in Jersey City, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ers.png Van Heerden a close 2nd.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2016/Races/PCT/TOAmerica/Stage3/11.jpg

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/vuk.png Ulanowski take the last podium in front of pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fnz.png Giacoppo and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/wcc.png Jones who rounds of top 5.
