I'm currently playing careermode with Astana. Nibali is set to win the Giro. He is in topform and one of the major favorites in the game. He crashed on the 4th stage of the Giro. It doesn't say he is injured or ill. Though he is falling off the mountains right away. He has no pace. He is getting tired just trying to follow the favorite peloton (about 40 riders).. It is now the 8th stage and he has lost over 10 minutes to Quintana. Still it says his recovery is good, he is not on any injury list and form is green.. Pretty annoying?
Has anyone any clue or tried this? A bug or?
Sorry in advance for not posting this in the right thread (can't find it)

That's a thing. A rider can be injured but not withdraw and won't show in the injuries tab. It's one of the realistic things cyanide actually got working in their games. It's a hidden injury.

Aha.. thanks. Do you now how long this "hidden injury" last during a grand tour? Can he fully recover?
I want Nibali to go up the gc

Yes he can recover. If the crash happend on the 4th stage of the race, he can probably go for stage wins in the last week, depending on the severe of the injury, but I don´t think the GC is possible, altough we have seen some crazy Things for Nibali. The Career Explorer is a good opertunity for you to see the reduced Fitness after fall and the Duration of it. Personally the same Thing, happend to me when Steven Kruiswijk crashed on stage 16 or so of the TDF. He fell from 3rd Overall to 21st Overall at the end. |

There should be a Forum thread for it here, just search for PCM Career Explorer V17.
With it you can see which riders from other Teams are racing in specific races and where your Team stands at salary, avg Rating and a lot more. It is a good adition for Career mode Play as the Name says. Just look at the thread if you are interested or want a better description. |

Also, if he does recover after dropping down to around 20th place in the GC, 20 minutes behind, send him into the early breakaway on the last mountain stage, he can gain back a lot of time and make it into the top 10 that way. |

Thanks for the advice. I tried and it succeeded. He won 3 stages and ended up 19th in the overall gc. Still a little disappointed but he recovered in the last week.
