This stage will be interesting with intermediate sprints at 16 and 10km to go.

House, Kristoff, Tang and Feillu make up the break with Butterfield, Cappone, Hampton and Rollin in the 2nd group on the road.

Unsurprisingly, they are caught with 23km to go so the sprinters could battle at the intermediate sprints.

And the first intermediate sprint was hotly contested. Erik Mohs edged it ahead of Haedo, Corioni, Manan and Usov

And that sprint also caused big damage on the pack. A group of 25 now has a minutes gap on the peleton. And noone is chasing!

With some riders now saving themselves for the main sprint, Brown comfortably won the 2nd sprint ahead of Casper and Markov.

The gap on the peleton has grown to over 90 seconds, this group will now take over the top of the GC. Donald will say goodbye to his leaders jersey, but most likely to Haedo unless Corioni or Swift win the stage.

But theres a crash! Santos, Radochla, Mikhailov and more importantly, Usov, are down.

And amazingly with 7km to go, Claudio Corioni has dropped off the back of the group! He was on course to moving up to 3rd in the GC - not anymore!

The all important sprint for victory was not particularly well organised although the winner of Stage 6 Bongiorno is well placed behind Galdos/

And Galdos gives Bongiorno a great lead out. Wong has also put Manan in contention

But Bongiorno simply powers away

Manan takes 2nd while Casper edges out Markov in taking 3rd.
