When I first got the game I would send riders to camps but there stats would go back down( I think) by now I've just given up. How do the camps work.

training camps only increase stats for a limited amount of time (it varies)
reading the manual may help you

Keep in mind, though, that the computer riders do not use training camps. |

I doubt it. It may be a display bug, though. |

Once, I Made Boonen win Tour de France, because I sent him on all the training camps he could. He had 79 MO and 74 TT he won the most stages. |

This is true, i made Valverde 87 Hill stat, but it lasted for a week. But it was good enough to make sure the hilly classics were written with valverde all over them. |

I remember with pcm 2005 that if you sent the rider on a mountain camp more than one time he did not go down in mountain on a long time and if the rider switched team he never went down. Quite funny when you have help riders with around 80 in mountain and the best riders have around 90 in mountain. I never got them any better than 90. But on pcm 2007 I never use Training camps any longer gets too easy if you use it but I only play on normal. |

As said, I don't think it has any effect when riders get stats over 85. You can change stats with an editor, so they are higher than 87, but they won't perform better than riders with 85. |
