Introduction
Hello everyone.
On this page, I'll be presenting my career mode with Kronborg Pro Cycling. I decided to take a Danish sponsored team after I admired their success at recent u23/u21 WC races. My first idea was to have a full-danish continental idea. I later turned that into a scandinavian team in the Pro Conti section.
Our jersey for this year.
I normally play on extreme but on this one, I'll start off on hard difficulty.
This is the team I came up with.
Obviously our main sprinter is going to be Magnus Cort Nielsen, he'll try to get tons of pro continental wins for our team.
His main leadout will be Matti Breschel which will also be our cobble leader.
We currently don't have a GC leader but we're planning to get a proper Danish one at the end of the season, Let's hope Jakob Fuglsang wants to join us later on.
We do have tons of TT talents, which I adore to play with. We have Andersen Kragh, Lasse Norman Hansen, Mads Würtz Schmidt and Lennard Kämna as the main ones.
Let's hope this team brings us good fortune over the coming year.
This is our calender for the first month.
I hope to see you soon for the first race of the season, Tour de San Luis!
Our goals for the Tour de San Luis are clear. We'll be unhappy if we don't get a stage win. Let's hope we do.
Our main man is Magnus Cort Nielsen. He's in pretty bad shape but there's no other way.
Course of the first stage.
Overview of the team.
Let's start the race.
My plan is to start off slowly and just sit in the peloton all day and look at what chances we have in the sprint.
A glimpse of our team in the 2017 peloton.
Due to Matti Breschel being in horrible shape, we have to use Mads Pedersen as leadout, let's hope this works.
As you can see in the picture. I fucked up. I fucked the train. Suddenly the whole train got blocked right before the 3km mark, and then we were already lost with 2 guys left who had almost no energy. Sad Life.
Head's up though. More chances to come.
Hello all of you. Thanks for the support on the earlier posts!
Today, we arrive at the 2nd stage of the Tour de San Luis.
I don't expect much from this but I'll try my best with our best climber dude... which is...
...
Magnus Cort Nielsen, ARE U KIDDING ME? This dude can do everything? 66 MO beast.
This is today's route.
I decide to put one of our lads in the breakaway, Vegard Stake Laengen!
Vegard Stake Laengen in the early breakaway.
Sadly I got no luck with that. I eventually had to bring up Magnus to the front of the peloton to try and keep some GC placements for what it's worth anyway. I actually kept holding on well... We started the climb. 3 riders attacked directly, Julian Alaphilippe, ben Hermans & Jakob Fuglsang.
Froome, Porte & Pinot tried to attack in the last kilometer but were unable to get back the 3 lads. The eventual winner was the french hillsheep, Alaphilippe.
We sprinted for a placement in the peloton and it actually went better than expected. 11th. Not bad for a sprinter, right?
Finish of Magnus Cort Nielsen.
To finish of, here's an overview of the race and GC results.
Nice team and nice story! I was planning to do my first story on a self made Scandinavian + British Isles team on an Icelandic license, but I'm going to watch this one for a while first
Are you going to try to sign Ludvigson? Great for TT and GC's.
