if I want to "contact" a rider that I want to sign, and will have his contract out for the season (i´m on my first with liquigas), 2007, let´s say riccardo ricco. why does it only say "make offer for rider" on some of the riders?
on some riders I can contact them and offer a salary, but for most of the guys I will have to wait until the 15th october. how come? |

They are still under contract with their teams.

Yeah, if they don't have a contract for next season u will have the contact option but if they already have a contract for next year it will be make offer for rider. |

Ok, I just remember that it was possible to sign free agents during the first days of first season when I used the pcm spain db but its not now using the daily db but I guess that was something weird going on then. |

That's true. You're only supposed to be able to sign the free agents in the first 15 days of the first season (and, of course, at the end of each season too, but that's not what we are talking about) |

Thats strange, its worked fine for me. Are you sure there aren't too many riders already on your team when you start? |

No... I think it has something to do with the fact that I'm using Vista... For example, if I uninstall PCM and then re-install it, when starting a career I still have some manager pictures from a db I had in the game like 6 months ago...
It's very strange... Even more because it works perfectly fine in my PC(XP)...

I use Vista too and it works perfectly. When you uninstall the game, do you completely uninstall removing all cyanide folders and the folders in my documents and in the app data? |

hmmm...strange. I had weird pictures installed as part of a db at some point too, but when I uninstalled completely they disappeared.
Is your PC a dual boot or are using laptop with vista?
I know I'm pitching some basic ideas at you here so don't be annoyed if you've already accounted for them. |

Don't worry, at this point I'm willing to try anything...

Ok, well the only thing I can think of is that there must still be some folders that are related to PCM left on your computer when you uninstall, because they can't magically reappear when you install the game from scratch. Unless your using the db changer? I had a problem reinstalling the game when the db changer was there, so you could try taking that away and doing a complete reinstall then.
I'm not really the best qualified to help you on this though
