Breakaway Specialist Posts: 811 Joined: 14-07-2007 PCM$: 200.00	Hi guys, Just thought I'd pop by and do some unsolicited promoting of a cycling boardgame, that is being released this month by a friend of mine. Its called Flamme Rouge - https://boardgameg...amme-rouge - and its just plain awesome, and something I'm sure most of you would enjoy. I bought the game when it was still a prototype 2 years ago, but now its being released with much beter material. The rules are fairly simple and easy to learn, but still manage to capture a lot of the things we know from cycling. You play a team of 2, a rouleur and a sprinter. Everyone has a selection of cards, so every rider is similar, at least in theory. Luckily there is a lot of strategy, where you aim to stay in the front of the peloton without spending energy leading it. Making it into the strait, or onto hills first can be crucial, and knowing when to make the breakaway is fun. Its best with 3 or 4 players. Asger has also made Grand Tour and solo rules, downloadable from the link. The game really shines when you play several stages in a row. Hightly recommended!
