I have just read that Honchar has been sacked heres article from BBC
T-Mobile sack Ukrainian Honchar
Serhiy Honchar
Honchar was expected to play a big part in this year's Tour de France
Ukrainian Serhiy Honchar has been sacked by his T-Mobile team for violating their code of conduct.
Honchar, 36, was suspended on 11 May following abnormal blood test results during the Tour of Romandy.
The decision was "based upon follow-up tests completed in early June and additional information gathered during his suspension," a team statement said.
"Mr Honchar is released immediately and is free to seek employment with another team or company."
Honchar, who won two time trials in last year's Tour de France, has not failed a doping test and T-Mobile did not elaborate on the nature of the tests or give further information. |

Pretty old news. Honchar was rejected from Giro 'd Italia, and Stapleton, the owner of T-Mobile, has several times said that he would get rid of Honchar. |

yup. they hadn't yet decided if he was getting the sack or if they'd just let his contract run out (at the end of the season)
by the way, it's Gonchar

yes, it's only normal.
they're forced to register him as it's written on his passport, and since the passport is wrong, they end up having to do that this way.
anyway, he ends up getting known as Honchar, so it's not a big deal....except for the poor guy!

it's just the Russian vs. Ukrainian spelling.
it's pronounced exactly the same in either case.

you should hear the idiot Eurosport commentator over here.
he can't get a single name right
makes me want to strangle someone...
it's not just that he makes a huge mistake the first time he says a name (usually switching around whole syllables), he also keeps saying it that way every single time he calls out the rider.
and some are just ridiculous...
how the heck does "Charlie Wegelius" become "Charles Venglot" (read that with a french accent)
