How to get a wildcard?

So im playing career mode with coloquick-cult in the cntinental division. I have been winning a lot of races during the season, but never have I received a wildcard. The lower ranked teams in my division have received multiple wildcards. At the moment I have 1500 points on my team where cofidis only have 1200 and Direct energi 1100. But I am still being overlooked when the wildcards are being given. I recently received an email about Direct energi and cofidis are the strongest candidates to be promoted to the CYA world tour. What am I doing wrong? Is there an option to request these wildcards actively?

Your team is Continental - you can't race in WorldTour races. Simple as that

But both cofidis and direct energi got invited to the Tour de France.. They are continental teams too.. So how can they get invited?

There are two divisions below World Tour: Pro Continental and Continental.

Only Pro Continental teams can receive wildcards to WT races and promote to WT, while Continental teams can promote to Pro Continental if they are among the best 20 non-WT teams in the CQ ranking at the end of the season.
Your team is still Continental (=division 3) and first needs to promote. If you keep your scoring up, you will be eligible next season.

However keep in mind the "national bias" (i.e. the invitations are given to teams registered from the said country where the race is being held). Considering that your team's nationality is Danish your chances of getting invitations will be hard unless you sign really good riders
