A guy on the French forum started a pretty funny topic, showing the evolution from CyM 1 to PCM06. Pretty much has happened.
Cym1:
Cym2:
Cym3:
Cym4:
PCM:
PCM2006:

Games I have played a lot:
CyM1
CyM3
CyM4
PCM06
I do have all the games, but CyM2 was simply too buggy, and in PCM05 attacking was pointless which made the gameplay horrible.
CyM1 was "buggy" according to rumours, but it was really, really fun online, and it worked really great. And in management menus were actually quite well-designed. Better than any other (P)CM-game, I'd say. CyM3 and CyM4 were good after the patches and were playable for a long time.
And with PCM06 I had my CSC-carrer which lasted until 2010 - then I started beta-testing PCM07 which seems to be pretty bugless. But we will see once the game is released. |

I only played PCM actually. I Saw Cym4 sometimes with friends, and played it for like 1/2 hour, but that doesn't count. |

I have played all the games, and i have all the games. I think that cym1 was the greatest before pcm. CYM2 was horrible and 3 got a little bit better, but actually i think the CYM 2,3,4 is bad with all the bugs. CYM1 was funny to play. I really like the fact you could create tactic even that you played the stage. That was cool, and i miss that. CYM2,3,4 have been a hole, where i wanted to stop playing it, but pcm changed my mind CYM3 was a light after the horrible CYM2, but the fourth was a step down again. Now the game is great, and it looks and sound like new aspects is introduced in PCM 2007. Im very happy i didn't put it in my closet

A funny topic and now we really can se the difference in the graphics from cym1 to pcm2
I have all the games besides cym3. Cym1 was really great fun, cym2 was horrible, cym3 was too borring and therefore I didn't buy it. Cym4 was okay. Pcm1 lacked a bit in the gameplay. PCM2 is good.. Really improved compared to previous editions of the game and now I'm just looking forward to Friday where I will recieve my Key to the DL-version |

I started playing Cym3 on a friends computer. Then I dicided to buy it. The one game followed the other and I've been loyal to the Cym/PCM-series ever since.
I think the poorest of them I've tried is Cym4, because of the load of bugs at the release. An examble could be the crash after a World Cup. That just shouldn't happen in a game which the developer think is ready to sell. The Cym3 was ok to me, except for the graphics. The ingame editor was a nice feature, too bad it was so slow in use. The first PCM was an average experience, but also accepted. PCM2006 is the best game untill now. The graphics is ok, but according to what other game developers can do, I would like to see a change in the graphics in PCM2008. I think the new and better managementpart in the new game is a necessary step. In the past 2-3 years that haven't changed much. Especially the transfer system is looking good to me. I think the new game will be a good refreshment after a couple years of almost no progress in the manegement. |
