Last stage is a hilly criterium and while Machado/Martin seem a pretty safe 1-2 here, lots of other decisions are still wide open. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/afr.png Ricco as one of the best puncheurs here surely wants more than 6th and it`s just ~30s to the podium for him. Same obviously for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/san.png Marquez, who could pass Rodriguez.

Several other spots in the top10 could change and who knows? Even a big attack could see the GC leader in danger.

First as best placed being 17th but already 13'47 behind. Wöhrer as KoM winner won`t have a chance to get any more points today but at least wants to show the jersey after getting it late in the race only.

Ayubowan is doing the pace. Apparently they changed their tactic after Pinot lost ground due to an injury. Today it might be a solid opportunity for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ayu.png Gallopin, who is a stage favourite. With 45km to go the gap is at 2'40.

Auyobwan isolated at the front for the whole day even though Flores is showing themselves next to them.
12km and still 1'30. This is going to be close and the waves here also make it hard to see the break making exact gaps difficult to rate.

Though on the line of the final lap we see a big attack. And it`s definitely an GT attack as pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/flc.png Talansky goes with the aim to win the stage but also improve from his 10th. More important though the 3rd attacker: pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/afr.png Ricco was one of the strongest all race but still only sits in 6th which can`t be his goal. He has only seconds to the top5 and less than a minute to the podium. 2'11 to Machado.

The attacker in between is the expected one for the stage with pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ayu.png Gallopin.

Though it`s highly questionable if the stage is still to grab. The break of 8 might have been too much to beat today and in especially pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cpl.png Visconti, who has attacked there on the hill. Compal surely could get a big one here being rewarded for their 2nd tier puncheur line-up.

36s for the trio. Gallopin knows by now that he won`t win the stage. Still he is giving the other two a helping hand and chases strong.
Ricco is virtually close to the 3rd right now.

But the peloton behind is not giving them a lot of room. At least not enough to attack GC leader Machado as his team mate Silva is holding the gap under 1min.

It`s only 2,5km left for the peloton and in front the trio plus some dropped breakaway riders. 31s for them and another attack. This could become more dangerous for Machado as it`s runner-up pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/boi.png Martin as also pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/tcr.png De la Cruz.

But the win goes to the strongest today. Once learned in the biggest races, you won`t forget. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cpl.png Visconti with the big win for Compal. Well done!

Behind the remaining breakaway riders. Becerra was close to the first home win for himself but also the team.
Wöhrer with yet another fantastic performance. Vontobel surely having a decent race here with 2 stage wins, KoM jersey and Cataldo just outside the top10.

Talansky next. It won`t help him GC wise as the gap was too big though.
Behind Ricco and Gallopin. With a small gap, the Italian will move into the top5, though not getting enough in the end to attack the podium. But it was a nice move surely.

The late push by the peloton saw some riders dropping. Biggest name surely the injured Pinot, who loses yet another bit of time. 23rd only in the GC. So Sisira as 15th in the GC at least gets a few more points for Ayubowan, who surely had hoped for a lot more.
