So i'm a doing a sprinting career in pro cyclist mode and with lead outs am un-able to have my team mates riding free effort.
Does this mean i'm at a disadvantage? I've done a few lead outs now and often in the last 5/6kms when the other trains are leading out their sprinter, they go flying past my lead out. IS this because im forced to use Relay and they (im guessing) are using free effort.
It's a bit frustrating having had my last few sprints lost due to my lead out being too slow |

I was wondering the same but I never tried. I (climber) am always faster on dot than my helpers on relay, even if my effort is 10 points lower than theirs.
But there are other questions.
What is the flat stat of your lead out riders?
Do they have enough yellow and red bar?
If you believe that your riders should be good and fit enough to ride as fast as other lead out trains, then you could try it in a one-off race with a very strong sprinter team. First stage: Make the lead out as you always did using the dot. Next stage: Make the lead out using infinite relay. |

To be honest I am yet to know if I'm suffering from confirmation bias, but leading out on infinite relay hasn't been good...but sometimes it worked and brought some victories |

The infinite relay strategy only works if their effort is enough to be front of the relay train by other teams AFAIK

I just had a really strong lead out for Germany national team at the world champs. When i tried to push on (again in the last few kms) i could feel that i was being held back. I was trying to move the rider at the front of the train to side of the road where there was space but he kept trying to move back across behind other riders. Ended up boxed in by the time the spring had kicked off. This is turning out to be very frustrating |

Just to again emphasize what i said above. Not being able to properly control a sprint train because of the relays is a nightmare. Just had to cue for 4 different riders to finish their relays just for my sprint train to start. Had the effort on 99 and infinite relay but my riders refused to move to the front. |

I would report it in the technical support forum on steam or in the official forum. Staring that you cannot make sprint trains because the individual effort (the dot) is not enabled for your helpers. |
