1.Does the game produce realistic results for stages and stageraces?
2.Does the riders ride like you see in TV? The leaders team taking the front of the peleton? |

The game does produce realistic results but it depends on the database.
The riders evolve over the year, so obviously you cannot expect realistic results in the Vuelta if the database is based on results from the Giro.
But if you would play the Giro with the real Giro start list and with a DB which is based on the results of the Giro then in most cases Kruijswijk would win (because he was the strongest rider in the Giro). |

Thank you for the answer. What about the races itself? Is the gameplay as strong as in PCM 2011? |

If I remember correctly, in PCM 2011 riders could ride through each other. This is not possible in PCM 2016. It good for realism but bad for gameplay because riders can get blocked.
I cannot remember the gameplay of PCM 2011 to give more detailed comparison but there is another thread about a similar topic: https://pcmdaily.c...d_id=45186 |

Riders can still ride through each other, but not every time.
You can still do blocking tactics on most cases, but instances where the opposing sprint train passes through your guys does happen. |

Results are not bogus, however I feel like rider attributes are too much of a factor in deciding performance. At least for the AI, it seems to me that secondary metrics such as Rythm, Freshness or RDC do not matter at all, More often than not you would see every top rider perform flawlessly with little real variance in results. You can easily have a good idea about a race's results from the Favourites section. From what I found, stages that finish in a sprint provide the most 'real' results, mountain finishes the less, because favorites perform too good and too robust.

As your previous question, this one is highly debatable as well. The race leader's team will relay most of the time, but in large stage races, when there are large gaps in the GC, there will be little to no effort by sprinter's teams (and small teams with no GC ambition) to catch breaks and actually have a chance to win a stage. |
