I have to say: when you take a look at the Tour de France this year, there isn't a lot of difference between mountain stages in the (real) Tour and these in PCM'16. Every single mountain stage I ride: they almost never attack. How much and heavy the climbs are, it seems like it doesn't matter at all. Sprinting, with a really big group, that's what mountain stages in PCM'16 are like...
Am I the only one with this problem? And could it be a bug? If so, why does it takes so lang to fix it? And, well, if this probably isn't a bug but just the way mountain stages are like from now on.. Than I'm done with playing PCM, I guess.
From what I can tell they are mostly ridden at a high pace at the start of the final climb, making sure those who try to attack will not get away. Then by the end of the climb, ranging from 3-10 km depending on the steepness, favorites make their attack, and I feel it is darn hard to keep up with them when they do.
From watching some videos I have learned that they have changed how the climbing and hill stats works in this game, and that might be part of the problem with balancing you are experiencing.
Well, it would be a great pleasure if it should go as you describe. But, the thing I see, every time, is that they're just not riding. They don't do anything at all. Just a bunch of people going to the finish with eachother and than sprinting in the final kilometer. Really borring and it just takes away the fun of playing PCM'16, for me.
I noticed the same behavior in most of my mountain finishes.
Not exactly sure which stats matter in a mountain sprint, but my guys get destroyed by the likes of I.Izaguirre, A.Valverde and J.Allaphillipe and gaps are always made on the sprint. What's worse is C.Froome, N.Quintana and A.Contador are beaten as well.
If I remember correctly, in previous games there was an option about passive multiplayer AI and this option also had an effect on single player. So check in the options of your game if there is such an option.
No, it isn't on. I only play the singleplayer-mode (career/pro cyclist). Is there a chance they're gonna fix this? Or don't they even know that mountain stages are like this?
