Ladder point system

You played my first online ladder game. It was quite fun, as I enjoy the fact that overpowered armada teams are gone. But I can't for the life of me figure the point system out. I got 1st and 2nd on the stage and won team standings, and even before the team category was factored in, I did not lead the stage in points.

Does anyone have any insights?

Yeah its weird, the guy who finished 3th had the most point, cant recall what team he picked.

i think it's not just about your best-placed rider

No i figured it out, weaker rider get 1,5x bonus.
So when you do good with for example bardet you get more points, let say you get 4th with bardet after a player who played quintana or froom or contador.
So thats nice, i like the mixed stats, so you can play with a lesser good rider, but when the daily form is good you still able to compete.
