Hi.

I have read many good tips on how to peak fitness, which is a good help at planning the season. But I have another question, and that is how many race days I can let riders take? Especially young talented riders, as the manual especially warns about letting them racing too many days might permanently destroy their potential.

Anyone have any tips on number of race days for different types of riders?

i cant remember how many but its a stupidly low amount from memory. especially for young riders. there is a topic for it somewhere in the forum if you have a good search

Hi and thanks for the replies, Rodda.

Still, it's hard to draw a conclusion from that thread. As one says 30-35 races (quite low indeed), whilst other says that is a "myth" and that there seems to be no effect at all.

How many days do you guys let your different kinds of riders race?

I cant say anything about wrecking their potential. But going anywhere above 40 race days is a bad thing due to the fitness penalties, so i gotta guess somewhere between 50 and 60 racedays is bad for their potential.
