If I install a new database to PCM to start a new career, will this mess with my already existing careers? Am I able to continue playing these?

Usually not. You can select the one you want in the options, so there can be several different DBs to choose from. You can play with the official DB and the PCMDaily DB without problems as well, but I believe some others might conflict with the PCMDaily DB, as this one has a lot of custom content.

So the bottom line is: Which new database did you want to use, and which ones do you already have?

In the case of the PCMdaily DB's it won't alter anything from your earlier saves, even if you start a new career after downloading our DB, you will see improved stuff while using the official release. This is because when we add stages fx to our db, we use the same abbreviation as the official release does, which means more variants for a DB we have not edited.

On top of previous answers, it's also good to know that your save game is saved as a separate database. As long as the newly installed database doesn't mess with the files that your save game database is referring to, there's no problem.
