This may6 already have been posted, i'm not sure, but which column in Hannes is used to change a riders specialisation?
I ask because Geraint Thomas' specialisation is Northern Classics, so his stat increases at Experience level gains are for the Cobbles stat more - but he has a much better sprint stat and I would rather he got better at sprinting than cobbling.

The column your need to change is the one called fkIDtype_rider. If Geraint Thomas' specialisation is northern classics he should have the number 6 in that column. You will need to change that number to 4. Then his specialisation will be sprinting. |

Does this change automatically?
Let's say I have someone who's a "fighter" as a young rider, but I train them solely as a stage racer... at some point will their specialization change to stage racing when their stats move more in that direction? |

The other numbers are:
1: Stage races
2: Mountains
3: Timetrial
4: Sprint
5: Puncheur
6: Northern classics
7: Fighter
I actually don't know KurtinSC. I usually change it myself.

I don't think I've seen any specialisation changes at all yet. |

Hmmm... I have a team with some young riders I'm training away from their specialization...
For example, young TT's of high potential that I want to be stage racers.
Does the specialization only affect the bonus points you get when you advance a level, or does it affect general development as well?
I can live with a "penalty" of not getting the advancements in the areas I'd prefer due to a rider advancing more toward their natural abilities... as long as it doesn't affect their general training. |

It is meant to be fighter. But in Hannes Converter it is called flat for some strange reason. |

If I'm not mistaken, don't fighters have the highest "flat" trait? I seem to remember a chart a while back showing how different training types affected each state, and the only one with a "3" (the highest level) for flat was fighters.
That might be the reason.
That was a good chart... It made it so I never train riders as climbers anymore. All riders who climb get trained as stage racesrs (the main benefit of climbers over stage racers was climbers got more acceleration... which is close to being useless). |
